Dale

Dale is both an empire and a region in central-northern Middle-Earth. Existing between Dorwinion and Mirkwood, Dale lies in the shadow of the Lonely Mountain. This kingdom of Men are allied with a Gondor against Sauron, and have rejected all offers from him. They defended themselves against a large invasion by Rhúdel at the end of the War of the Ring.
