Chestnut Trees are a type of hardwood tree that have been added in the Beta 21 update.
Spawning[]
They spawn naturally in the Gladden Fields, Shire Moors and Vales of Anduin Biomes, as well as in many others.

Appearence[]
They look similar to oak trees but have a darker and slightly purple wood texture. Also the products of this tree are also much darker in colour. Since Public Beta 29, it's also possible to grow a Party Tree by planting 3x3 saplings and using bonemeal on the center one.
Uses[]
Chestnut Plank, Fence, Gate, Slab, Log, Leaves, Stairs, Door, Trapdoor and Beam
Shears can be used to harvest chestnut leaf blocks. Breaking their leaves may drop saplings or raw chestnuts, otherwise known as conkers. Conkers also fall naturally from these trees and can easily picked up.
Also, raw wood can be harvested to craft chestnut wooden planks, stairs, fences, and slabs.
Trivia[]
- There are Ents that look like chestnut trees in lore, and they described as "brown-skinned Ents with large splayfingered hands".
