This 'Easter Egg' is one that only comes about at a very special time of the year. Christmas should not only be a holiday in real life, but also in Middle-Earth too! Most people are familiar with the vanilla retexturing of chests at Christmas into colorful presents. The Lord of The Rings Minecraft Mod also adds some Christmas surprises!
On Christmas day, players wake up to find that every human-like mob in the mod is wearing a bright red Leather Hat. This hat is of a bright red color that is different to a hat that has been dyed with ‘Rose Red’ dye, as it is much brighter. The hat is also adorned with a plain white feather. Every mob’s helmet has been replaced with this piece of apparel to celebrate Christmas! This has been present on Christmas since 2013.
Snowing in the desert? Only at Christmas!
