“ | I thought it was only a kind of cram, such as the Dale-men make for journeys in the wild. | ” |
–Gimli, in The Fellowship of the Ring (Farewell to Lórien) |
Cram is a food made by the Men of Dale, mentioned in The Hobbit and The Lord of Rings. It is a sort of equivalent to Lembas as it was used by Dale-men for long journeys; however, unlike Lembas it was bland and flavourless.
When eaten, cram restores 8 () hunger points.
Obtaining
The Dale-men had strong trade relations with the Dwarves of Durin's folk, and therefore Cram can be found naturally spawning in Dwarven structures, such as a Dwarven house. Merchants and bakers sell it as well.
Cram is craftable on Dalish crafting table by using two wheat and one sugar.
