The Lord of the Rings Minecraft Mod Wiki

The Dwarven Marriage Ring is a rare item very similar to the Hobbit ring, and is used to perform Dwarven marriages. These rings may be bought from Blue Mountains merchants and Iron Hills merchants.

Both the Dwarves of the Iron Hills and the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains use this ring. Two Dwarves from different factions may not marry, however. The same goes for two Dwarves with the same father (implies that they come from the same family).

Dwarven Marriages[]

Here is what it looks like.

To perform a Dwarven marriage, the player needs to have +200 alignment with the appropriate Dwarven faction. Then, the player has to find a merchant and buy two rings. Probably the most complicated task is to find a dwarven woman, as they are pretty rare and the spouses must be of opposite gender.

A married Blue Mountains Dwarf.

There are no female dwarves in mines, strongholds nor towers, which makes them a rare sight. The couple that spawns in a Dwarven house will always be married (they wear their marriage rings). The only unmarried female dwarves you may find, are their grown up daughters, which are quite rare. For those, you've got to find a suitable groom from another place, as they are neither allowed to marry their brothers (same father) nor their father (already married). An easy alternative to this, is to hire dwarves from a Dwarf Commander, dismiss them to be married to each other (make sure you got a woman).

The rest is easy: The player right-clicks each Dwarf to give them a marriage ring each. Hearts will appear and the Dwarves will be instantly married.

Successfully performing a Dwarven marriage earns the player the achievement "The Reluctant Union". A successful Blue Dwarven marriage yields the achievement "Blue Blessings". The player also gains +10 alignment (+5 for each Dwarf) for the respective faction. Another marriage the player can perform is a Hobbit marriage with a Hobbit Marriage Ring.
