Trapdoors are a type of door-like block that are only 1x1 block in size and open vertically. In the renewed version, trapdoors have been added alongside each of the mod's wood types ported so far.
Trapdoors for the mod's wood types (as well as the vanilla wood types (all but oak) that did not have a trapdoor) were only added to the 1.7.10 version in Update 36. In the same update trapdoor placing mechanics were changed to no longer require a support block, matching the newer versions of Minecraft. Various structures were also updated to use trapdoors with more appropriate wood types for their locations and affiliations.
Crafting[]
Trapdoors are crafted using six planks of the appropriate wood type on a vanilla crafting table, yielding two trapdoors. The only exception is the Mallorn trapdoor which has to be crafted on a Galadhrim crafting table.
