Hi there.
I was just thinking that It would be good if my beacons summoned more troops. So then I though "instead of changing the whole beacon system, mevans could just make it so that a lit beacon emits a redstone pulse. Then I could link it to an iron door, behind which is a whole lot of hired gondor/rohan soldiers". It would make beacons a lot more realistic.

Do you mean that redstone doesn't work, or that you just don't want to add any more redstone products?

Maybe they could cause instant Rohan invasion or maybe a certain chance that it is another state of Gondor. Also the tower guards would have to be able to light beacons in when in danger. Maybe only in Minas Tirith when it is added.

Yeah, I like the idea of an invasion after lit beacons, and I think that whenever a tower guard is within one heart of dying his beacon should light.
