Glowstone ore is an ore found exclusively in the Dwarven biomes.
Upon mining Glowstone Ore for the first time, the player earns the achievement "In Dark Places"
Occurrence[]
Glowstone ore can only be found in the Dwarven biomes: Iron Hills, Erebor, Blue Mountains, Red Mountains, and Misty Mountains. In those biomes spawns on height-level 32 and below. Therefore, it can be seen along the walls of dwarven mines in the biomes that have the aforementioned structure.

Glowstone Crystals[]
In the renewed version only, Glowstone can also spawn in groups of crystals underground. These drop one Glowstone when mined with an iron pickaxe or better and can be collected in crystal form with a Silken pickaxe. These crystals also give off a moderate amount of light.

Crafting[]
Glowstone Ore can be re-crafted with eight Glowstone Dust and one Stone block.
Uses[]
When mined, it drops some Glowstone dust, which explains the prevalence of glowing Dwarven bricks in Dwarven structures, as the said brick is crafted using Glowstone dust. A pickaxe of at least stone or equivalent strength is required to mine this ore.
