Gundabad Orc Chieftains are a type of Gundabad Uruk from which you may hire Gundabad units.
Spawning[]
Gundabad Orc Chieftains can be found in Gundabad Orc Camps and Ruined Dwarven Towers. Camps can be found in Eriador and the Lone-lands and surrounding areas, as well as parts of Rhovanion, such as the Vales of Anduin. Ruined Dwarven Towers can be found in the Misty Mountains and Grey Mountains and their foothills. These are the only places where they spawn.
Gundabad Orc Chieftains spawn wearing Gundabad Uruk Armour, without the helm.
Behaviour[]
Like all trading and hiring NPCs, Gundabad chieftains will not attack another mob or NPC unless provoked. Once provoked, they will defend themselves with their Orc Skull Staff.
Drops[]
Gundabad Orc Chieftains drop rotten flesh or Orc bones when killed. They may also drop maggoty bread, or more rarely their skull staff or a piece of their armour.
When a chieftain is killed (like most other trader NPCs), a floating silver coin will appear where he dies. The coin spins slowly at first and over a period of time increases in speed until another chieftain respawns. The floating coin can only be destroyed in creative mode.
Hiring[]
Gundabad Orcs and Gundabad Wargs may be hired from these chieftains if the player has the required alignment and silver coins. If the player does not have enough alignment, the Chieftain will speak rudely and refuse to open the hiring menu. If the player has the alignment but not enough coins, the hiring menu will open, but the “hire” button for the unit(s) will be grayed out.
Upon hiring a unit from a Gundabad Orc chieftain, the player earns the achievement "Rabble Rouser"
