Gundabad Orc Scroungers are trader NPCs found in Gundabad Orc Camps. They can be easily recognized by their full set of fur armour and the coin in their left hand.
Spawning[]
Gundabad Orc Scroungers spawn only in Gundabad Orc Camps, one per camp. Some camps spawn Gundabad Orc Chieftains instead of Scroungers, so the player may have to search a few camps to find the right NPC. However, unlike Gundabad Orc Chieftains, Scroungers cannot spawn in Ruined Dwarven Towers in the Misty Mountains. Thus, their spawning is limited to Eriador, the Lone-Lands, Vales of Anduin, Northern Wilderland, and surrounding areas, which are the places where camps generate.
Behaviour[]
Gundabad Orc Scroungers are neutral NPCs, like most traders. They will not attack anyone, even an enemy player or NPC, unless provoked. If attacked, they will defend themselves with their poisoned dagger. Otherwise, they will follow the regular behaviors of Orcs, but they do not skirmish or kill rabbits. They wander about their camps, eating and drinking occasionally and always waiting to make a shady deal with friendly passers by.
NPCs who are enemies of Gundabad (such as Rangers) are neutral towards these traders and will not attack them unless they shoot them by accident and the trader retaliates.
Trading[]
In order to trade with a Gundabad Orc Scrounger, the player must have earned +50 or more alignment with Gundabad. Otherwise, the Scrounger will speak rudely or insultingly toward the player and refuse to do business.
Orc Scroungers offer many deals on typical Orcish wares. They also offer a number of scavenged items like bronze and iron armour and equipment pieces, as well as fur pieces and fur armour. They also have some skill in metallurgy, and will offer their blacksmithing services to friendly customers.
Scroungers like shiny things and will likely buy gems and ingots from the player in addition to random "junk" items.
By trading with a Gundabad Orc Scrounger, the player gains the achievement "Scrounging and Scavenging".
