This feature is present in: Renewed, Legacy.

We call it lembas or waybread, and it is more strengthening than any food made by Men, and it is more pleasant than cram, by all accounts. [...] One will keep a traveller on his feet for a day of long labour, even if he be one of the tall Men of Minas Tirith.

Galadhrim Elves on Lembas in The Fellowship of the Ring, Farewell to Lórien

Lembas is a type of waybread created by the Elves. One piece of lembas is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man (although Hobbits seem to be an exception).

Lore

The Elves seldom let mortals use it, and it was a tradition in Beleriand that only Melian, the Queen of Doriath, could give them out. The first mortal to eat lembas was probably Túrin Turambar.

Obtaining

Currently, it can only be obtained as a very rare drop from Galadhrim Elves or Tormented Elves of Utumno, or it can found in some of the various elven structures (either on plates or in chests). It may also be purchased from travelling Galadhrim wanderers or Rivendell wanderers.

Usage

Eating a piece of lembas will restore the entire hunger bar  20  20 , no matter what the current level is; this means it is better to save it up for when the hunger bar is nearly empty, producing the greatest effect.

Note: There are 2 bars, hunger and saturation, once the saturation bar runs out, hunger starts depleting. Hunger is the visible bar, while saturation is hidden. Lembas restores both to the max, so it is better than any other food in any case.

In the Renewed version, eating lembas while pledged to an Orcish faction will deal damage to the player.
