Ffets told me you were the one in charge of the French wiki.
Problem is that the community isn't very active there and that not much people try to improve or to add missing pages, and a lot of informations are outdated.
Please read what I posted on the forum about this: http://lotrminecraftmod.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:344398
We need to improve it by importing every feature from this wiki to the new one. By feature, I mean every visual aspect, categories, infoboxes designs, mouse arrow, background, etc...
Once all this work would have been done, would it be possible to try to gather French active mod players, to create a qualified staff, skilled at writing with a good orthograph, who would regulate and organize the translation and the improvement of the French wiki?
We need someone over there with administrative (and preferably bureaucratic) privileges in order to do that. Still, since it's a wiki, you can do a lot without being an admin. If you haven't read my post on the other thread, go read that and respond there on adoption.
Yes. However, the majority of crashes posted between updates are user errors, rather than bugs. I think it makes more sense to direct those to the tech support forums, and then move it if it is indeed a bug. This makes for less moving. It is fairly easy to move a thread, so it's not of huge importance.
Soooooo, as I have been working on some of your amazing templates, keeping them up to date, I have noticed that a lot depends on screen width. I was wondering if there is a way to size the templates so that they autofit to the width of your screen. I will figure out how to apply this to other things, such as spoilers, but wanted to know if it was possible.
So you just use a percent. Cool, thanks Sinth. I figured it was something like that. I learned about putting styling into div's when I was learning HTML, so I knew it was something like that. I will work on replacing spoilers on the wiki with sizing, Ffets got a little upset, and I would like to fix all the pages. Thanks again!
Sinth, calm down. I am apologizing for him elf. Anyway, I do have a thing on the wiki that tells people that the mod doesn't have a realeased version yet. And we are adding an accessable way to gain a larger community. I am still working on that main page.
I think you should calm down with the wiki. You don't even know how long I will need for the mod (or if I will stop it after a while) and you are building up a community already. I don't need a community.
I agree with Sinth. Do you guys remember that guy who went around slaughtering pages with "Mevans add this now"? That's kinda what we're doing. We're turning this all into our this. If there is a public release, we'll be here to jumpstart the wiki for him, but we should chill out for now. Although, I do think that getting the features and stuff set up early is a good idea.
I am currently building the main page of the Eragon Mod Minecraft wiki. I have been looking at your work on the main page as a kind of template to show me how to do things. However. I would like to put the most recent forum activity and recent blog posts on the main page, like we have here, but I cannot find the templates. How do I do this?
For the past few days, the main page doesn't display properly (the slider won't show up, polls won't work, etc.) I tried clearing my cache, and it seemed to help somewhat; now the page displays properly sometimes, but not all the time.
Any suggestion that is more than a certain age without replies will be removed, not on specified cleanout dates. I wanted to make a poll so that people could tell us how old they have to be. These datesnwill be blog posts with summarry releases to the community. You already know this, but yeah.
