I have created an organization aimed a restructuring the tax system so that it will benefit the Middle Class, Senior Citizens and the working poor. Our legislature in North Carolin, USA is comprised of rich people who want to benefit themselves. We want to use the above image but have no money at present to pay you. Will you give us permission?
I noticed, that you imported the crafting recipes for armour and other stuff on the material pages. For example on Mithril Ingot or Bone.
In my eyes, it's practical there, but it's also wrong. Let me explain why:
We have got extra pages for that. The Mod is still in development. Recipes and stats change quite often. When we have the same information on several pages, we have to change it everywhere. People tend to forget. I find a lot of contradicting information caused by this.
So, we should keep it like that: Information, we've got on a separate page, stays there and should not be repeated on other pages. Information that belongs to the item should be on the item page and only there.
For mithril ingots, there should be the crafting recipes for nuggets and blocks on the ingot page, but not for brewing dwarven tonic, trimming dwarven armour, hobbit pipes and mithril armour, only the links. If people are interrested in that, they can follow the links and see the details there. If one of the recipes changes, this saves a lot of work and also keeps the ingot page slim.
I'll try and tie the revisions together. I would like to know if you just found it without seeing my message that I would do it or not. If you didn't see that I was going to do it on that thread, then you are completely forgiven. If you did, just know that it is more hurt than help when someone does something that someone else is working on, in terms of the same page.
You may do that one. Also Near Harad needs a lot more recipes. A few notes though:
There is an extra pipe right before the closing double curly braces in the template wherever you are copying it from. Please make sure that that pipe is not included. It doesn't hurt anything, but it isn't necessary, and an extra character.
When you upload images, write the imagename in the grid first, then preview and use the redlink from the grid to upload the image using Special:Upload. Make sure that the imagename is the blockname with no spaces. Again, just a personal preference thing.
When copying grids, make sure you change the the fields to the appropriate names, not just some. We can't have the recipe for the Near Harad Crafting Table page give the picture of a Morgul CT.
Mystery, I would just like to thank you for standardising all the crafting grids in my, and Samwise's absence. I've been inactive for a while, and will be inactive for quite some time in the future, so I'm happy to see you doing your duty in our absence. You are also truly one of the wiki's best examples of learning from past mistakes. You have become a truly valuable contributor indeed!
