This feature is present in: Renewed, Legacy.

Orc plating is a decorative block crafted by the Orkish factions of Middle-earth. It is not currently found in any structures but is fairly easy to craft. It has a connected texture that subtly changes its appearance by rotating its texture randomly when placed adjacent to other plating.

In the renewed version only there are also slabs and stairs, made using the usual recipes.

Crafting[]

Regular Plating[]

Orc Plating Orc plating can be crafted on any of the Orkish crafting tables using Orc steel. It is worth noting that four ingots yields 8 blocks, which is to say a block is worth half an ingot each, making this a very cheap metal block (although it is also worth noting that it can't be crafted back into ingots again).

Rusted Plating[]

Rusted Orc Plating Rusted Orc Plating can be crafted by combining eight normal orc plating blocks with a bucket of water. It is functionally the same as Orc Plating, but has a rustier texture.

Usage[]

Orc plating is primarily decorative, intended to be used in Orkish builds. The block utilises 'natural textures', which means that the textures rotate randomly for each block placed. This is intended to make large amounts of plating look less repetitive, and in general it adds a bit more variety to builds.
