The Orc Torch is a 2-block tall torch used as a light source by Orcs. Orc torches are taller and darker than regular torches, which suit Orc builds better than their vanilla counterparts. They cast the same amount of light as normal torches, but cannot be placed on walls.
Crafting[]
Orc Torches are craftable on the crafting tables of all five Orc factions.
On the Morgul crafting table, Orc Torches are made from two sticks and one Durnor crystal, a recipe that yields two torches.
On the Angmar, Dol Guldur, Gundabad, and Uruk crafting tables, coal or charcoal is used instead of Durnor.
Uses[]
Orc Torches are primarily useful as a light source, and have the same functionality as normal torches, with the exception of being placed on walls. They fit the general aesthetic of Orc structures well. Orc Torches are also the primary method of igniting Orc Bombs.
Natural Occurrence[]
Orc torches appear as part of most Orc structures, including (but not limited to) Orc Camps, Warg and Spider Pits, and Mordor Towers. Orc Bombardiers carry Orc torches, which they use to light their bombs. They have a chance of dropping their torches upon death.
