The Palm tree is a tree found in several southern biomes, especially near the coast. It is based on the trees of the same name found in tropical climates in the real world.

Spawning

Palm trees spawn in Corsair Coasts, Gulf of Harad, Southron Coasts, The Sea, and Umbar.

Appearance

Palm trees have a narrow, gently curving trunk of medium height. The wood is a dark greyish brown with brown bark. Their leaves spread out from the trunk in a flat, fan-like pattern.

Uses

As with most trees, the palm can be can be cut down and its logs turned into charcoal or planks, which in turn can be used to craft fences, gates, gate gears, doors, stairs, slabs and wooden equipment. Leaves can be collected using shears and used as decoration. Breaking leaves has a chance to drop saplings.
