The Pine Tree is a species of softwood tree that grows in many hilly, colder regions of Middle-earth.
It comes in two variants: the normal, tall shaped tree and a shrub version. The shrub version is very abundantly present in Rhûn and the Rhúdel Steppe, but also in the Hills around Rivendell where it dominates the undergrowth of forests and the sights of many open plains.
Spawning[]
These conifers are found throughout the foothills biomes of most mountain ranges, and the also in the mountain biomes themselves. A full list of multiple biomes is in the info-box to the right.
Appearance[]
Pine trees look somewhat similar to spruce trees, having tiers of branches, but are much taller and thinner. Products made out of Pine wood are similar in colour to those made out of Larch wood, but a little more yellowish-brown. The maximum height of these trees varies considerably, from 13 to 23 meters (40 to 75 feet).
Uses[]
Cutting down pine trees will yield pine wood, this can be used to create pine wood planks, stairs, slabs, and fences. Breaking the leaves of pine trees with fists may also drop saplings, however, breaking them with shears will drop the leaf blocks as well.
Renewed[]
In the Renewed version of the mod, a third shape variant of the tree exists, endemic to the Shire. This new variant replaces the Shire Pine found in the Legacy version of the mod. In addition, Renewed pine trees can generate with stripped logs and wood slab branches.
