Not far ahead were dreary hills, rising higher and higher, dark with trees. On some of them were old castles with an evil look, as if they had been built by wicked people.

The Hobbit

Rhudaur castles look much like small stone ruins, and can only be found around Angmar, but not in Angmar itself.

Structure[]

The castle consists of a square wall, made either of vanilla stone bricks or of Angmar bricks. A lot of cracked bricks are included. The size of the ruin varies from 12x12 to 30x30 blocks. The top of the walls is quite ragged and about 4 blocks high. One side of the ruin has a big gap, which looks like having been the entrance gate in former times.

The ground on the inside of the castle is strewn with brick slabs, cobblestone, and gravel, but keeps most of the natural terrain intact. Even trees can grow inside.

In one corner, you'll normally find a stone chest with quite valuable loot: Precious ingots, nuggets, Mordor armour and equipment, Angmar armour and equipment, Arnorian armour pieces, and some household items. If you see a castle from afar, it might be worth a look.
