Grassblock

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

–Anakin Skywalker, Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Sand is a block that is found in most biomes near water. Sand currently has three variants: vanilla, red, and white sand.

Sand is a vanilla block which spawns on the banks of water in most biomes. It will also appear in particular abundance in deserts and on beaches. It can be produced from sandstone, using a millstone.

Appearance[]

Sand is a yellow looking block that has grain particles in it.

Uses[]

Chiselled Sandstone

Chiselled Sandstone.

Sand can be crafted to make sandstone or sand slabs. It can also be smelted in a furnace or forge to produce glass.

Once crafted into sandstone, all colours of sandstone can then be crafted into stairs, slabs, or walls if desired. Vanilla sandstone slabs can be crafted into chiselled sandstone, which has been given a retexture in the mod (shown to the left) to remove the 'creeper' texture on the vanilla block.

Red Sand[]

Red Sand is a block that makes up the majority of the Red Desert and with some appearances in the Orocarni, otherwise know as the Red Mountains.

Appearance[]

Red sand, despite it's name, has an orange tint. It is basically a retextured version of sand made to look more red.

Uses[]

Like normal sand, red sand can be smelted in a furnace to produce glass, made into red sandstone, or red sand slabs. In addition to making stairs, slabs, and walls, red sandstone can be crafted into red Haradric brick.

Red sand and its products are mostly used for aesthetics.

White Sand[]

White Sand is a white version of the sand block that is found in certain biomes. These biomes tend to either have had elves, or Númenóreans live in them, some of these biomes are Dor-en-Ernil and Lindon.

Appearance[]

White Sand is essentially a white version of sand, it has a grainy texture like sand.

Uses[]

This is used for essentially the same purposes as sand and red sand save for the color being white.
