The Lord of the Rings Mod was first created by Mevans in December 2012 and the first version was released to the public on February 1st, 2013. His goal was to bring the world of Middle-earth (and beyond…) to Minecraft. After seven years and thirty-six major updates, we can all agree he has exceeded expectations.
The Lord of the Rings Minecraft Mod Wiki was founded on June 24, 2014, by Mevans himself, after the previous wiki was overfilled with files. Since then, our community has grown to over 9 active registered users who have helped make 637,014 edits on 1,663 total pages!
