  • The main purpose this suggestions are to rectify two mistakes in the mod.

    Of Trollshaws

The size of Trollshaws and the East Road isn't correct in the mod. East Road didn't pass through the forest. Our current road goes across the river north of the river intersection while on the map it crosses below the intersection and approaches Rivendell from the south.[1] The road is too far north.[2] For people who considers that it would make one more difficult to reach Trollshaws, don't worry, the shaws are only few miles away from East Road. Maybe you can see the forest in the distant land, that would be nice.

    Trollshaws Map 9

What Trollshaws look like on the map in current mod version

    Of Hill-troll

They should rename as Hill-trolls. Mountain Trolls only appear once in The Return of the King, The Siege of Gondor, and even our wiki quoted this section:

Great engines crawled across the field; and in the midst was a huge ram, great as a forest-tree a hundred feet in length, swinging on mighty chains. Long had it been forging in the dark smithies of Mordor, and its hideous head, founded of black steel, was shaped in the likeness of a ravening wolf; on it spells of ruin lay. Grond they named it, in memory of the Hammer of the Underworld of old. Great beasts drew it, orcs surrounded it, and behind walked mountain-trolls to wield it.

The Return of the King, The Siege of Gondor

So Mountain-trolls are more likely belong to Mordor rather than Angmar. Hill-trolls are trolls that live in small groups or alone and commonly live in the Ettenmoors or Angmar, some heading down to the Trollshaws for the winter. Since Mountain-trolls have less content, and we even don't where they inhabited, they should be rename as Hill-trolls and true Mountain-trolls should be add in far future, due to they are less important.

    Fun Fact

both of Hill-men and hill-trolls have a "hill-" word in their name, and both of them are in the legion of Angmar.

Yes, there are easy to kill, due to they lack of armour protection. It makes me recall that once my friends and I striked all the way into Mt. Doom in our server, we slayed numberless olog-hai and black uruks. But our server cannot match the official one, when the server updated to the beta 25.3 from 23.3, everything is gone. fortunately, we are rebuilding the server orderly now XD

I heard that Trolls and Enrs got armor points in beta 25. Is that true?

    • Yes. Ents and hurons were also made more durable by the fact that only axes deal full damage.

I'm not sure about troll, it seems like ent got strengthen in beta25. Because ent can handle two olog-hai now, and they cannot stand against one olog in previous versions.

I still argue that swords and arrows (along with other weapon types which cannot chop a tree) should be harmless to ents and hurons, for that is canon and you cannot use a sword to fall a tree in vanilla minecraft.

    • This is a must do suggestion. I've always wondered why the road went through the Shaws in the mod but goes around it in all other maps I have found. Kudos!

    • Hmm, maybe the problem isn't trollshaws, maybe it's that the roadis too far north.this would also make sense for trollshaws to be a shortcut.
