Though the mod has gone to great lengths to make the map as canon as possible, there are several places in which there are mistakes. This suggestion will both correct these mistakes and reccomend the addition of several biomes at key places.
1. The Blue Mountains waypoints are in the wrong place right now. The Belegost waypoint should be where the Blue Mountains fork in the southern range, and the Nogrod waypoint should be removed-it was flooded in the Gulf of Lhun during the War of Wrath. Of course, this will disrupt servers, so a waypoint at the location of the more popular fortress should be added and called Thorin's Halls. Also, a waypoint could be added in the north, the mine where Arvedui took refuge.
2. Another Blue Mountains issue- they were much lower than shown in the mod. My idea is to have the mountains replaced by foothills, with just a few key peaks being the actual mountain biome.
3. On to the Shire: Right now, the White and Far downs are part of Eriador. But in the book, both were part of the Shire. Therefore, I think that White Downs should be a Shire subbiome, and the Far Downs should be a Shire Hills biome. Also, the Downs in the mod are mostly circular, but in the book the Downs were line-shaped, not circles.
4. On the subject of Downs, I think each one should be it's own biome. The Hills of Evendim should be higher than the others, the North Downs the same, the South Downs more vegetated with bushes, and the Emyn Beriad should just be part of Lindon.
5. The Land of Gondor needs more biomes for the Provinces. When added, Provincial soldiers will spawn in their respective biome. Here are the ones I think they need. An Lossarnach biome with more flowers, an Anorien biome with brighter grass, a Lamedon biome with more boulders, a Morthond biome with boulders and dark grass, an Anfalas biome prone to Corsair invasions, and a Pinnath Gelin piome with bright grass.
6. Rohan grass was some of the brighest in Middle-Earth. It should be blazing green.
7. Rohan should not extend so far in the west. By the War of the Ring, their realm effectively ended at the River Isen. Instead, a new biome (Adornland) should be there, and Dunlendings and rarely Rohirrim should spawn there.
8. Gondor should also not extend to the Ras Morthil, because they had no soldiers there anyway.
9. Mordor needs three more biomes to complete it. All of these are canon, so it makes no sense that they are not already in the game. The first is a Morgai biome. Here is found dead grey grass, dead trees, and rarely water. it is mountainous, but not as high as the Mountains. Which brings me to them. There should be two seperate biomes for them. The Ephel Duath should be the same, but the Ered Lithui should have lots of ash (a new block) and a grey sky.
I may add more if anything strikes me. Let me know if I missed anything in the comments! But for now, thank you for reading. As always, comments, Kudos, and constructive critiscism is gladly accepted.
