My comrades, it is time once more. This is my final suggestion pertaining to the Land of Mordor, and today I will cover the lesser-known parts of the Black Land: Lithlad, the Eastern Desolation, and (briefly) Nan Ungol. These lands may have been lesser-known, but they still had a part to play.
My past Mordor suggestions can be found here:
Biomes
I will here briefly touch on Nan Ungol. Nan Ungol as a faction is all set in my opinion; however, the biome could use some adjustment. An obscure vale full of spiders does not see like the place where Orcs would set up camps or towers. I suggest that all structures except Spider Pits and Spider Dens (see below) be removed, and that the only non-spider mobs to spawn here be snagae and soldier-orcs of various types, with increased rarity. Furthermore, caves should be more common here.
Lithlad is a lesser-known part of Mordor, but by no means is less important. The biome should replace much of the normal Mordor biome east of the spur of the Mordor Mountains west of Gorgoroth. It should be similar to normal Mordor, but with fewer and smaller camps, fewer orcs than normal, and a slightly increased number of wargs. Terrainwise, Lithlad would be generally flatter, but would have patches of ash dot the landscape, more dirt than normal, and rarely patches of living (though brown) grass. Charred trees would also be more common, and very rarely living oaks can be found. A charred forest variant of the biome would generate occasionally. Mordor Easterlings would spawn here at the same rate as soldier-orcs. In addition, Haradrim warriors and Easterling Warriors would rarely spawn in groups here.
The Vale of the Fell Beasts is a smaller, remote region of Mordor, but would be given a biome that, until Fell Beasts are added, is basically a placeholder. The vale should have the same mob spawning conditions as Nan Ungol, but without the spiders. No structures would generate here. Occasionally, fairly tall and rather steep spires of rock would rise up out of the landscape, which in the future could hold Fell Beast Dens.
The Eastern Desolation isn’t much of a desolation right now. The look of the biome is captured well; however, all structures should be removed from it, and no mobs should spawn here except Mordor Snakes (see below.) Nothing remarkable should generate here. How the Eastern Desolation became so desolate is a mystery, and the Desolation is not inclined to yield its secrets.
Mobs
The following mobs would be added.
- Mordor Easterling Soldier - It is unknown whether these men once lived in Mordor itself, or whether they came from other lands, drawn to the call of Sauron. These Men have the same stats as the Men of Rhúdel, but wear Mordor armor and use Mordor equipment. They spawn in Lithlad, and cannot be hired (though they can easily be created from normal Rhudel soldiers)
- Mordor Viper - Small-ish mobs that spawn rarely in the Eastern Desolation. Snakes by no means would be exclusive to here: other types should spawn across Harad, but those will be addressed in future suggestions. Mordor Vipers would be black with glowing red eyes, and would have the Eye of Sauron textured on their heads, like Mordor Gnats. Vipers have ten health. They attack any players they see, and deal 4 based damage with an effect per bite. As opposed to the poison effect most snakebites would give, however, Mordor Vipers deal a wither effect for eight seconds.
Structures
- Nan Ungol Spider Den - Large caves in Nan Ungol home to a group of Mordor Spiders. The caves would be mostly unremarkable, save for skulls and respawners set to spawn more spiders.
- Lithlad Turret - Small Mordor Brick towers that generate in Lithlad. They would be similar to the current Gondor Towers, and would have loot chests, beds, orc guards, Mordor banners, and other supplies.
