I know I said this recently, but nobody got back to me on it. I took your advice and messaged Fish about my application; it has been a day and a half since I did and there's still nothing from him; I'm just confused and wondering if you can clear up what's going on? (I assume Fish is just really busy with his sub-mod but I'd still like to know)
Sorry if I seem like I'm bothering you guys on the FA staff, I'm really not trying to; these past few days have just been confusing.
Alright, so Fish doesn't want all 12 Houses of Gondolin, because he feels that the playerbase would be spread too thin. He wanted you to leave a message so he could get back to you on finding a suitable role within the city.
Well, that stinks :( (about him removing some of the houses), I guess I could play as a different person, y'know, (this might sound really weird) he could just have one house, the house of the king, and that house could include the other heads of houses such as Glorfindel, they would still be able to play as those characters, but the playerbase would be in one single house. (I know that actually sounds really non-canonical, but if you think about it so is a Gondolin with several houses missing, anyway the idea just came to me as I wrote this so I thought I'd just run it by you to see what you guys think.)
Also, in light of your earlier comment, why does Fish think the playerbase will be spread too thin? I mean we are all still in the same city; if we were talking about the elven factions I could see what he meant, but this is just houses in a city.
My best guess is he is worried that there will be too many players in Gondolin. It wouldn't be fun if all the players are only in Gondolin and Angband. I mean there are tons of roles open right now, Maedhros, the other sons of Feanor, Fingolfin, Uldor, Bor, Baran, Turin, Tuor, etc etc. Before all the houses in Gondolin exist we should make sure all the other factions exist.
