These suggestions make me sad...sad that Peter Jackson has "corrupted" the name of lotr and the hobbit with the lore falacies~The too lazy to login Sniper
The LotR movies are fine - mostly they just left stuff out as opposed to change it - but The Hobbit films are just blatantly changed for the sake of action and $$$.
Well, they changed a fair bit of things as well. Notably.. "YOU CANNOT PASS!" The Rohirrim's desperate defence of the Hornburg. Minas Tirith's outer wall. The Army of the Dead. These are just the Heresies I know about having never seen the movies in their entirety, only screencaps and misconceptions of people who have.
See the movies. They have flaws as adaptations, but they're fantastic as films.
Yeah, they actually kind of got me interested in LotR.
Actually, I got interested in LOTR after the release of the Lego sets xD. I then read the books and watched the movies. I do think we should have goats as animals, not mounts.

For me, I don't think the movies got me interested in the books, because the 1st time I watched them I hid behind the couch(I was maybe 7,8?) and later on I got FOTR and it compounded my obesseion from there.
Agreed, they are good films if you've never read the books. Lotr movies were pretty good until Rotk where Jackson started changing quite a bit of stuff. Much like Last Apprentice movies, they are good films, bad adaptions except Last Apprentice movies were Horrible adaptions.

??? So first you say they're decent, then you say they're bad. Anyways, the fandom user can't edit this suggestion, so maybe some one else could remake this one? My hands are full for this week, sorry.
