  • I have a quick question regarding armour. I just saw the new rule is that you can only wear your faction’s armour in regular pvp. I pretty much never start pvp fights on my own because I am horrible at it. What happens is I will get some armour and go exploring or traveling. For example, Blue Dwarven Armour is better than my faction’s (House Bór) armour and really cheap. Multiple times I have had people attack me unexpectedly while I am exploring. So is it still legal to go exploring wearing any old armour (even junky armour from Orcs I killed)? Or do I always have to wear my faction’s armour? If I am not wearing my faction’s armour what happens if somebody attacks me?

    • Alright, well, I'm not entirely sure on the rules myself. I'll try find out. As far as I know you can use any faction weapons but your armour has to be faction armour. Do you have a Discord account? I'm sure that someone in our Eras of Arda Discord server will have the answer.

About House Bór armour - fully modified a set is equal to 10 armour bars, the same as a fully modified set of Blue Dwarven armour. The only thing that sets fully modified Blue Dwarven armour apart from fully modified House Bór armour is durability.

Fully modified being: Eölean, Tough/Steadfast, Enduring, Lightfooted (for boots, instead of Enduring.)

    • I do not have a discord account. I am hesitant to get one just because of all the time it will take up if I get it. I know I can modify the armour set, but with keepinventory off it kinda seems like it is not worth the time and resources to make something I could easily lose. I am making good armour but I don’t want to just go around wearing stuff that expensive. I’d rather use something cheap and easy to replace when I die (I’ve already lost two full suits of Blue Dwarven Armour to unexpected pvpers almost immediately after making them). House Bór armour unmodified provides decent protection, but it just gets used up so fast in regular combat with orcs that it seems like a poor option.

    • Ah, well, those are some fair points.
