  • So the horn of command is currently one of the only ways to control units. however there is one major problem with them. The clutter. Normally people have two horns per squad or whatever and I usually go into major battles with at least three squads. Now with three squads thats 6 horns plus 3 swords of command plus a primary weapon, polearm, ranged weapon, healing supplies, food... and soon you have no space in your hotbar.

Thats the problem. Now for the solution. I propose to switch out the two types of horns for one. Instead of choosing summon or halt/go whenever you use the horn (which will no longer have the charge up due to taking too much time) it will pull up a gui allowing you to choose wether to summon or halt/go. this will limit the amount of horns in the inventory and will open the way for new commands such as retreat, disperse, etc.

    • Cool idea, but having a gui pop up in the middle of fight could get annoying.

    • It’s already pretty annoying to have to blow a horn in battle

    • Um Krillian. My battle plan when going into battle is kind of like yours but I don’t use swords of command. I do charges and have a bed a hundred or so blocks away. But when I’m doing more like your strategy, i have an inventory and swapout what I need. But I think that you are right. It can be annoying. I did post a suggestion a few days ago (Don’t quote me on that!) about troop formations and was thinking about horns but then I saw yours and thought it might be even more annoying. As when in my survival worlds I always have so many bones and rotten flesh. Which then means that I have no inventory space. So I think your suggestion is vital to keeping combat with troops interesting. Also, do you have a google account?
