Nomad Armor should have sun protection. After all, they do live in the great desert, and they are a nomdaic people which means they travel a lot. So if their armor doesn't protect them from the heat of their home how do they survive?

yes, either make it stronger or give it sun protection
I walked in the desert for several hours wearing Nomad Armor. They simply reduce the rate at which you take heat damage, which seems realistic to me. If frost damage at night is added, it should reduce the rate of that as well.
still seems underwhelming, since nomad armor is so weak, it needs at least more defense at some sort of perk, or else it will remain a useless feature that will continue to be unused.
It's actually quite handy while pyramid-hunting out in the burning sands. It's very weak, yes, because it is essentially a human-shaped basket. Maybe, if a thirst bar will be added, it could reduce your loss of hydration to normal levels.
