  • For this suggestion, I've retextured a few of the Orc daggers that I felt could look a bit better. Currently, the Black Uruk dagger is gigantic. Frankly, I think it feels bigger than the cleaver. Not just that, with its many spikes jutting out from the blade, it looks like an even more threatening and effective weapon.

Considering something with such low damage, and with such a basic crafting recipe, doesn't at all match its current texture, I propose a different design for it.

I've based this retexture off Shagrat's knife in the books, which is said to be long and red.

Here I've remade the good ol' Mordor dagger. The current one is pretty basic, so I've made it longer and a bit more interesting.

And finally (at least for now), I remade the Isengard dagger, which is currently very small and thin. I've made it wider and bulkier, similar to how their swords are described.

    • I approve, although that doesn't mean anything.

    • Hmm, I wonder if I should try retexturing the regular Mordor dagger as well. Grishnákh's said to have a short, jagged blade, with the handle carved to look like a hideous face. I doubt I'd be able to do that last part, but I'm still curious how well I'd be able to redesign it.

On another note, my texture I've posted looks very dark on my screen. It doesn't look that way outside of the wiki, and I think it's a glitch I've seen elsewhere here. Anyone else have that problem?

    • I went ahead and did the Mordor dagger earlier today, and just now the Isengard one. The Mordor dagger is designed to look thin and menacing, while the Uruk's is heavy and large, based off the description of their swords in the books.

The handle could be longer, imo.

    • I'm going to assume you mean the Isengard one, since that one has a pretty short handle. I'll fix that in a bit.

    • Should be done now. I've also flipped the blades and hilts on both the Isengard and Mordor daggers, so it looks better ingame. Now I need to do the poisoned variants.

      EDIT: Done and added.

    • The textures are great, no doubt, but they are lacking those dark edges that make them the Minecraft style. Notice how basically every item has dark grey edges and lighter colours in the centre?

    • Now that you mention it, I could've sworn I had fixed that on the Mordor dagger, but that one looks very light on the edge. I'll have to make sure I didn't upload the unfixed version.

I think the Isengard one is fine, but I think I could darken the outline on the red of the Black Uruk dagger.

      EDIT: Should be better now.
