    • Keep in mind 1 more update without mumakil is another 3 months to 1 and a half years of waiting. So I ask, would you rather spend 3 years of that on a couple new factions and modifiers never to see mumakil until a whole new part of your life (or worse never)?! or finnally get a near harad elephant that was due since update 15?

    • Well, according to these polls at least. a good 8 out of 29 people value mûmakil above the others. Considering that the gulf of harad, town of bones, and the mûmak skeleton and speechbank have been added. Not suggesting anything directly... , but it would be worth letting mevans know of this. (I'm fine with any result though.)

    • FYI Mod, I'm banned on Faceberg.
please don't use that crap Mossad/Boomer/Catlady platform for anything that you can do elsewhere.
Looks like we'll be getting "other" soon,
which hopefully will be more powerful Conquest options.

Always nice to see people volunteering to create those and make them available for every server to seemlessly paste into their random seed based procedurally generated world. Thanks and good luck my friend!

    • I'd like to see the misty mountains get updated. It'd be nice to have avalanches and glaciers, as well as orienting the mountains in the misties to be north/south rather then east/west, as the current setup creates wayyy too many easy paths through the misty mountains (and other mountain ranges) imo.

Also, revamped dwarven mines and underground dwarven towns around the size of easterling towns.

I'm not sure avalanches and changing the orientation of the mountains are feasible additions. The other stuff you mentioned would work though!

agreed! would be so cool to actually have places. even if if the update took longer or we only got some smaller places itd be awesome. Something as small as a replica of the town of Bree would be so cool. Obviously things like Orthanc are a huge projects so that could be something for the future. But for the newest update, small additions of actual places would be great.

I too have been following the mod since random world gen and that's the thing I've been waiting for. All these factions are cool, but they don't add the breathtaking aw of seeing a huge fort with orcs surrounding it. Or the giant towers in mordor. Or the lonly mountain (Erebor) with it's dwarven forges and sprawling mines.

    • I am with the rest of the people who believe that even if the departure of the Mûmakil were delayed, the best thing would be to start giving some life to the points of fast travel on the map, starting to build the towns and cities of the books / movies, evidently starting at the start location, Hobbiton and following the order of the Lord of the Rings saga perhaps omitting the more complicated places to do by size and reserving them for perhaps 80-100% focused updates to them such as Mines Tirith ... Every time I have tried to convince friends to play this mod with me, the first question / disappointment that always appears is that although you can travel and the map is 10, the places you travel to remain as basic biomes of minecraft, leaving a void in the hearts of those seeking a great construction that will impress them.

Although, I currently have no idea how the world generation works in Minecraft or how a "static" generation system of structures could affect the current procedural generation.

    • Bree faction or the Beornings, i'm not all that hyped for the Mumakil, and they are bound to make the olog hai issue even worse, so i say Beornings, then Mumakil, and Bree just because it's the second landmark most everyone will encounter, and having it empty is just dissapointing, there is town of Bree in structures submod but without Bree faction it's just filled with hobbits and rangers.

    • No I agree. And good would need a siege machine to if Mumâkil are added. Maybe the oathbreakers? Or a better ent mechanic, as trolls were mock-up ents. So maybe they should add a form of hireable ents?

This is a great point! The biggest problem people seem to have with this mod is the lack of these structures. I know the counter-argument is that players should build them, but to be honest, most players don't have the time or skill required to build such structures.

I'd rather build structures not mentioned in the lore that fit my own roleplay experience in the mod.

Hopefully with the 1.15 remake, it will be easier for Mevans to code such large structures.

Maybe they would have a similar hring mechanic to Shieldmaidens and Renegades.

    • I voted "Other".

I mainly wish Mevans will fix bows. They are broken : every arrows shot by a NPC equipped with longbows (that is to say bows with a 125% strong) pass above the orcs, dwarves, hobbits and spiders head without damaging them. This glitch is a pain and I really hope Mevan will fastly fix this because it ruins the gameplay.

umm you do realize that they are going to do that right? Update 36 is gonna be the last 1.7.10 update in the mod

    • some dude I know claims that 1.7.10 is significantly slower, more laggy, etc than newer version of minecraft. true? if that is the case, I would of course prefers version switch, otherwise, I dont care that much.

        Loading editor
    • I mean, it is slower from what I remember, bit that could just be my computer. But it is def more laggy, because it affected my brothers game as well.

1.7.10 has quite a few good mods that work well with LotR mod, mods that haven't updated, but I can't say if that's a reason to continue 1.7.10 updates along with the renewed ones. So this post was just my two-cents I guess.

        Loading editor
    • I can't decide between Mûmakil and Variags... But I guess Variags. And Red Dwarves are a great idea as well... It's kinda weird to see a faction variant ,,Rhûn" with only two factions... At least ,,Harad" category has four.
