  • First of all, the Gray Mountain dwarves were where Dain came from and one of the most wealthiest so I dont see why they souldn't be in here even tho they were all killed off my a cold drake, but then again, the Rangers and Angmar were supposed to be dispersed. Secondly, the Orocani dwarves. They should be a thing because it just makes sense, and also, they should be evil. The wicked dwarves aren't really a faction so there should be at least one joinable evil dwarf faction. Thirdly, the Misty Mountain dwarves, or Moria dwarves. They are a MAJOR thing in here considering their whole history, so I dont have to talk much about why they should be included. The white mountain dwarves are not something most players would think of. But, if one were to read some lore about Lotr, they would find that the White Mountain dwarves were founded my Gimili in the glittering caves behing Helms Deep after the War of the Ring. They would eventualy become the most prosperous and strong dwarven kingdom to ever have existed so theres no real reason why they shouldn't exist in-game. And finialy, even though it has nothing whatsoever to do with dwarves, the Ithilin elves. They were also founded after the War of the Ring, but this time by Legolas. He liked Ithilin so much that he decided to divert from his cave dwelling family and settle a colony in Ithilin by bringing some other elves along. Needless to say, there is again no reason why this faction shouldn't exist. That wraps it up for now, and I hope that a LOTR Mod staff member will read this and actually consider this.

P.S: Almost all of taken from Lore so Im not just maing things up. Again PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE actually take this into consideration. And, just to prove Im not trying to be arrogant, I understand the work that would have to be put in to make this actually happen.

    • Sorry OP, but the mod takes place before the latter two events even take place. And as for the Orocani dwarves and the others, (excluding the Moria and Grey Mountains Dwarves because I'm sure most of them are gone and would have no real reason to stay in their former homes), I'm sure they'll be added.

Although, I may be wrong but I believe the different ages and eras of Middle-earth will eventually be added into the mod. Either that, or as submods.

    • If you were familiar with the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm then you must know what happened to them? Surely?

    • Did you REALLY read the lore ? Did you read the FAQ and the "what not to suggest" ? Did you read the "Planned features" ?

The Mod takes place to beginning of the War of the Ring, with 111th bilbo's birthday. The dwarves of Grey Mountains and the Moria died or was exiled a long ago because orcs, dragons and a motherf****** balrog. the dwarves of White Mountains and elves of Ithilien are events happened into the fourth age. And the Mod takes place long before this time. This is anachronistically preposterous.

Dwarves of Orocarni are already planned, so it is useless to suggest it once more.

Aulë, the vala, the father of the dwarves created them resisting to the corruption and the evil. It's lore-canon. However, Tolkien wrote some dwarves allied themselves to orcs for suspicious reasons. But it's not enough to add an entire evil dwarven faction (nonetheless, the idea is interesting).

    • I know all of this, and yess I have read nearly every bit of lore out there, I even have books at my home about lore. But think about it. The orcs were destroyed yes? Saruman died yes? The Taurethrim: Not real. Im not complaining about the mod, I just want you to see my reasons for saying this. And, also, theres no such thing as bad advice so don't criticize me and I wont criticize you. But I dont say things for no reason, everything I posted has its reasons. Another thing is, the petty dwarves did still live in the Gray Mountains as a hideout.

    • Im pretty sure the oracarni dwarves are planned to be good, beucase in the lore no dwarves were corrupted to sauron except the petty dwarves.

They also shouldn't be evil just to have an evil dwarf faction, because by that logic than there should be a good orc faction.

Yes the orcs and saruman died, but that was after the time the mod takes place in so i don't see why it matters. Thaurethrim are not lore, but we know people lived in Far-Harad. Mevans just added a bit of culture.

And there truly exists bad advice.

    • I really do think down votes should be added for stuff like this.

I wish I was here sooner to school this guy, but you guys did well enough. Nice work.

Honestly, I think this guy knows nothing about lore.

    • Cause the dwarves were almost all good, the elves and white mountains dwarves, next age, and we only have one book about the fourth age, and I haven't even found a copy of it. And yet the first will probs be added first.

    • The Red Mountains alone contained the majority of the different Dwarf clans (4 out of 7), so one faction of Orocarni Dwarves would have to be good, or else the majority of Dwarf clans would be evil-aligned, which goes against Lore.
