This page gives an overview on all troop types and their stats.

I am in the process of editing this and many inconsistencies and mistakes it may be because of that -Thr33Way

ExplanationsEdit

Combat Strength: The damage the unit usually does, when equipped with normal weapons.

Armour: This point lists the armour that the NPC wears (significant for the damage taken by the unit).

Advantages and disadvantages: Differences from some other units that can sometimes put them at an advantage or a disadvantage.

Cost: This is the unpledged hiring costs in silver coins per unit. Players with a higher alignment or that have pledged will pay less.

Also noted that some mounted evil aligned troops have a rider and a separate troop they are riding, such as wargs and spiders.

Cavalry, Archers, Banner Bearers and Bombardiers get the following modifications to their costs if no other price is given by the table: (the extra price goes down if pledged or if one obtains more alignment)

  • Mounted (any mount): +20-40 Silver Coins
  • Ranged (any weapon): +20-40 Silver Coins
  • Mounted AND ranged: +40-80 Silver Coins
  • Banner Bearer +20-40 Silver Coins
  • Orc Bombardier: +30-60 Silver Coins

Enemies: This is a list which NPCs this NPC will fight automatically. Note that this list is different from the enemies of each faction listed here. Some factions have enemies that live far from their home (e.g. High Elves will attack Near Haradrim) while some won't attack other NPCs although they are nearby (Dunlendings don't fight hobbits).

Gaining Alignment and Pledging: If one gains alignment with a faction that they want to hire troops from then the prices will go down until they are half of the previous price. This also means that the added price for Mounted, Ranged etc. will go down. If one then chooses to pledge to the faction then all prices will be halved again. E.g.: A Gondor Soldier will usually cost 60 silver coins at 250 (200 for Lebennin Levymaster) alignment. When you gain alignment the price will continue to go down until you get to 30 silver coins. If you pledge to Gondor, your price will be halved from whatever price it was before, meaning that the lowest price for a Gondor Soldier is 15 silver coins. In this list I will be including the non-pledged prices.
