Firstly, it has been decided that I will go ahead in my writing of The Lord of the Rings: abridged. You will be glad to know that I will not be changing the story or names and will try to keep most of the speech the same. All that will change will be the length and the complexity of language. The idea is to make a shorter version that contains the main story so that specific events/quotes etc. can be found easily. I will also add some illustrations :)
Secondly, some of you have already volunteered to help with some chapters, this is very helpful and if you would like to do a specific chapter, please ask here or on my wall. If you have any other questions about the story, please ask. Once the chapters in book 1 of the Fellowship have been assigned, you can write them at your own pace, you can then post them on my message wall so that I can prof-read them, add illustrations and add them to the complete book, I will then put that (in the form of a pdf file created from a word document) on dropbox for everyone to download. I will release my version of the Prologue so that you can gauge the writing style and length.
Thirdly, I am the Lord of the Stiffbeard dwarves on the Alliance of Arda LOTR Mod Server and I would be very grateful if anyone could join me, Thorin is the lord of the Ironfists and we are close allies. The excavation of the great hall (which will eventually be 64x32x16 blocks) is the current project and I have several spare kits for people wanting to help out.
