Alright, I realize this is a little late. It did happen last night, after all.
Anyway, for those of you that follow US baseball, the Chicago Cubs won the World Series last night. For those of you who didn't know, this is special because the last time that happened, the Wright brothers had barely gotten off the ground, the Titanic's keel hadn't even been laid down yet in it's slipway, and WWI hadn't even been conceived of. That's right folks, Year of Our Lord, 1908. The last time the Cubs made it to the World series was 1945.
To be completely honest, I don't much care about baseball, but living very near Chicago, I felt it my civic duty to make everyone aware of this somewhat unprecedented victory.
