Ice Spiders are large creatures that inhabit Utumno. It is assumed that these ice spiders were created by Melkor for use in the War of Wrath. These large arachnids roam the upper (ice) level of Utumno. They have 24 health and resemble Mirkwood and Mordor spiders with a white colouring and cold blue eyes. They are not tameable.
Behavior[]
Like all Utumno mobs, these spiders will attack any creature with a negative Utumno alignment, which is every player.
When they attack, the player will be given the Frost effect. This means that they will be inflicted with Slowness for six seconds and a brief blinding white light will appear.
Drops[]
When killed, ice spiders will commonly drop string and/or spider eyes and semirarely drop 1 - 4 Chill of Daedelos. They may also drop ice key handles, shafts, or pins.
As with any other Ice level mob, if summoned in the overworld it will drop its overworld counterparts common drops. In this case, it will drop string and spider eyes when killed outside of Utumno.
