The Utumno Key is a rare item that is used to travel down to a lower level of Utumno. There are two types of Utumno keys: the key of ice, which is used on the ice level to unlock the obsidian level; and the key of obsidian, which is used on the obsidian level to unlock the fire level.

UseEdit

To use the key, right click on the ground on the bottom-most floor of each level with the correct key for that level (Ice or Obsidian). If used correctly, it will create a spiral staircase of Utumno bricks leading down to the next level. The key is then consumed.

If the key is used on the wrong level, or not on the bottom-most floor of the correct level, it will emit puffs of black smoke and remain in your inventory.

ObtainingEdit

Both keys are crafted from a handle, shaft and pin, which each also come in two types. These three parts can be obtained as semi-rare mob drops from any Utumno mob on the associated level of Utumno.

The three key parts can then be combined on a regular crafting table (or your inventory crafting panel) to make a key. These recipes are shapeless. Below is an example of crafting an obsidian key. Ice keys are crafted in the same way, using ice key parts.

Upon crafting either key, the player earns the achievement "Keys of the Deep"
