The Utumno Orc archer is a variation on the Utumno Orc, but instead of using a melee weapon, he wields an Utumno Bow. He is also equipped with Utumno armour.
Spawning[]
These Orcs can only spawn in one location: the Utumno dimension. Within Utumno, they can spawn in groups of two to four, on any of the three levels.
Like all other Orcs (excluding Gundabad Uruks and Black Uruks), Utumno Orc Archers can sometimes spawn without helmets.
Behaviour[]
Utumno Orc Archers will attack all players on sight. This is because these Orcs belong to the Utumno faction, and all players have a fixed alignment of -66,666 with them. They will also target any non-Utumno NPCs that venture into their evil realm, since these Orcs are mortal enemies of all Middle-earth factions.
These Orcs will spot a player or non-Utumno NPC from up to 24 blocks. When they spot an enemy, they will immediately move a few blocks toward the target, stop, and start shooting. If the player or NPC tries to get close and retaliate with melee, these Orcs will dodge and move away, all the while still shooting.
Drops[]
Utumno Orc Archers commonly drop rotten flesh and Orc bones, and less commonly random supplies like maggoty bread. On rarer occasions, they may drop a piece of their armor or their weapon.
On the Ice Level only, these Orcs have a rare chance to drop one of the three pieces (handle, pin, shaft) of the Key of Ice. They never drop Chills of Daedelos (only the Utumno "ice" mobs do that: Ice Wargs, Ice Spiders and Snow-trolls). On the Obsidian Level only, they may rarely drop a Key of Obsidian piece. On the Fire Level only, they can rarely drop a Pickaxe of the Underworld.

Hiring[]
Because it is impossible to gain positive (or even neutral) alignment with Utumno, these Orcs cannot be hired. Nor does their faction provide any captains or other means of doing so.
