The Utumno troll is a type of troll that spawns in the bottom two levels of the Utumno, and can range from looking like a normal Hill-troll to having an odd, purplish colour. They wield spiked clubs as their weapon. The purple troll variant's resemblance to obsidian wargs could mean that they are also made of obsidian.
Killing an Utumno troll will give the player the achievement "Troll in the Dungeons".
Behaviour[]
Utumno trolls will attack any mob or player other than other Utumno mobs. Their immense size makes their attacks very powerful; they are also fast, and a dangerous threat in the hallways of Utumno.
Mutation[]
Just like all the other trolls in the LotR mod, the Utumno troll has a chance to spawn with two heads instead of one. This mutation makes it even faster and stronger, and can pose a threat to even well-armoured players.
Two heads are better than one...
Drops[]
These trolls will drop troll bones, slimeballs, and random pieces of raw meat when killed. This can make killing trolls one of the few ways to obtain decent food in the darkness of Utumno, provided the player remembers to bring along a furnace and some fuel.
Trivia[]
Utumno trolls, along with their Snow-troll variant that spawns in the Ice Level, are the only Utumno mobs to provide alignment when killed by the player. They provide +3.0 alignment toward Middle-earth factions. This can only happen when a player has hired units nearby, of course.
