This feature is present in: Renewed, Legacy.

Wattle and daub is a block with a connected texture which is used in building and decoration, often for walls and structural frames. It can be found in Hobbit houses, Gondorian houses, and many other structures.

In renewed only, you can toggle whether a block of wattle and daub connects to other wattle and daub blocks around it by right-clicking on it with a stick.

Wattle and Daub is not mined faster by any tool type.

Crafting[]

It is crafted using 4 of any type of dirt and 5 sticks or dried reeds.

Stacks[]

In the renewed version of the mod only, you can also craft wattle and daub stacks, which are similar to the pillars available for brick-type blocks. These only have a connected texture in one direction unlike the regular wattle and daub block. They can be crafted as shown below.

Trivia[]

In the real world, wattle and daub was traditionally made with wooden strips pasted over with a mixture of materials - wet earth, straw, and even animal dung! Though often associated with medieval Europe, the technique was developed by people in several regions, from prehistoric Eurasians and Africans to indigenous North and South Americans.
